A group of 22 students and staff will be visiting the Gambia on 11th February 2013. During their visit they will be spending three days in Penyem Village. The staff will be teaching lessons and the students supporting classes in the nursery and the upper basic school.
We are raising money to help the village build a flushing toilet block for the students. Faye Austin, trip organiser, will be holding a jewellery sale in the Atrium Break 1 on Wednesday 16th January. Faye bought the jewellery on her recent trip to the Gambia over the New Year. The cost of the jewellery will range from 50p-£1.
A quiz night will also be held in school on Friday 18th January – See poster below.
Faye has also asked for donations of stationery, old mobile phones with chargers and football shirts to take with her in February. Should you wish to donate any of these items then please hand them to Faye in the Humanities Department.
