Friday 3rd September - school re-opens to students in Years 7, 11 and 12 only.

Monday 6th September - school re-opens to the remaining students in Years 8, 9, 10 and 13.

Community Use of New School

Free School Meals

If you are receiving certain benefits, your child will be entitled to receive free school meals.  Our cashless catering system automatically credits the account of eligible students with £2 per day.

Cyber Bullying Information Evening

Corby Cross Town Orchestra

Corby Cross Town Orchestra is a community project which joins musicians from across the town.  At present we have members from Kingswood, Studfall Juniors, Our Lady's Primary and Corby Business Academy.  Wednesday 30th June will be our third full rehearsal and performance.

Houdini - World Premiere

As part of being a specialist Performing Arts School, we have commissioned the world premiere of Houdini.  This is a brand new musical written by the successful Musical Director and composer, David Tobin.  There will be performances from May 24th-28th at 19.00.  Tickets are on sale now priced at £3.

Vertical Tutoring

Thank you to those parents who came along to the Vertical Tutoring Awareness Evening on Wednesday 5th May. We hope that it set people’s minds at rest and gave them a greater understanding of what the changes will actually mean.  We are very confident that it is the right way for the school to be moving and that the move into the new building offers us a unique opportunity to ‘tweak’ some of our current practice to make the Kingswood School even better.

Home Access Grant

Home Access is a government drive that helps low income families who currently lack access to a computer and/or internet to get online at home.  The programme is aimed at those who need it most.  If you are a low income family in receipt of certain benefits you could qualify for a grant to buy a computer and/or a minimum of one year of internet access.

Parent Forum

We propose to start a series of Parent Forum meetings to allow parents the opportunity to discuss with members of the school’s Leadership Group issues which are important to parents and carers.  The aim for each meeting is to address a single item only – for example; reporting, uniform, homework or behaviour.  Parents would, of course, have the opportunity to suggest an item for discussion at future meetings.
