Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Year 9 and 10 students participating on this year's Bronze Award Practice Expedition
On Friday 18 May 2018, 14 of our students participated in a Practice Expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award. Over the last few months, these students have been working on three sections of the award: Volunteering, Physical and Skill. The students must take part in a Practice and Assessment Expedition to complete the award. The weekend was a brilliant experience for the students, who worked in 2 groups to find their way around the countryside using a map and compass. They walked from Sywell Country Park to Grendon Outdoor Centre, where they camped overnight, before walking the next day to Irchester Country Park, where they were met by their parents. The final Assessment Expedition is on 15 – 16 June 2018.
